Taking care of our bodies is so important. I know first hand how hard it is to make time. In between taking care of four kids, juggling online school for the two older girls , cleaning, making food, running errands the list goes on and on. The most important thing to physical care is to make time for some enjoyable excersie. There will always be chores and no matter how spotless you leave the house you will turn around and find more chores waiting. So enjoy a bike ride with the family or grab the little ones and do some yoga with them. Do whatever type of physical activity you like, but make sure to take the time to do it and don’t forget to hydrate!
This next one is so simple! We often think that to take care of ouselves we have to spend money or do some huge Spa day or whatever it may be. I know I definitely enjoy that, but for an everyday activity why not just TURN ON SOME MUSIC? Dance sing along, and enjoy. š Often we get so caught up on the “go, go, go” we forget that turning on music can make our daily tasks more enjoyable and it’s a great way to get our bodies moving!
There is nothing better than Socializing with another adult after a long day of taking care of children. Call a family member or connect with a friend. Just enjoy a conversation with someone. Allow yourself to take sometime and relax. With Covid still going on it’s hard to get out, but when it all passes go out meet friends for a play date and socialize.
Okay! So this one is harder especially with the kids running around, but not impossible. The first three tips you can do with the kids near by, they can even enjoy along with you. However it’s hard to enjoy a face mask with them around so for this one let your spouse, partner, or family member help take care of you kids for about 30 min- 1hour once a week. I say that it’s not impossible because this is something that you can do once or twice a week. Taking care of your body with physical conditioning is a great thing to do and it pairs well with taking care of your appearance as well. A good hair mask, face mask, body scrub, foot peel and a bath are fun relaxing things to do to pamper yourself after the long busy days. Never feel guilty about enjoying some time for yourself. It is healthy to take time away from everyday stress that occurs. After the little break you will be energized and ready to enjoy your little ones again!
So there you have it! Simple care that will make everyday more enjoyable. Everyday comes with different challenges, but always try and find a positive in your day.
